FEECO provides an efficient and robust rotary dryer solution for the ethanol industry. FEECO has extensive dryer experience in fertilizer, mineral and bio-waste markets. The internals of the FEECO rotary dryer use a unique double bend design to maximize the air-to-material (DDGS) contact creating more uniform material drying. The dryer feed chute is offset to maximize the area where the hot gases enter the dryer from the combustion chamber, improving the hot gas distribution and reducing ‘hot spots’.

Additional design features of the FEECO rotary dryer include:

• gear drive for smoother running and longer life than chain driven dryers
• free floating mounted tires to account for thermal expansion
• a single thickened section under the tires and gear for increased structural rigidity as opposed to two thinner plates fused together.

These and other proprietary design details allow FEECO to provide reliable, efficient and dependable rotary dryers. Many of FEECO’s dryers have been in service for more than 30 years.
