FEECO Services

The FEECO Service Department can offer you a range of services to get your machine or process up and running. We are committed to providing the highest level of service, parts and training in the material and processing industries. We are here to support our customers with installation, start-up, emergency trouble-shooting, diagnostics, training, parts, and routine maintenance.

If you should experience a work stoppage due to a malfunction of your rotary equipment, all you have to remember is that our telephone and email hotlines are open 24/7. With your first phone call we will immediately mobilize an emergency services team and work with you to get your process up and running. You can depend on it.

FEECO’s Trade Finance Department is able to provide qualifying international buyers with advantageous terms of credit competitive in the global marketplace. This financing may have guarantees or insurance of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. The underlying financing may involve a broad range of financial instruments including floating rate notes, letters of credit, etc…The financing can be for both capital goods (machinery & equipment) as well as services.

Because of the nature of our business, no two processes or equipment set-ups are alike. Likewise, no two service and maintenance programs are alike either. FEECO will design a program to meet your needs and fit your budget.

You can have it both ways…let FEECO contract with you to perform all maintenance duties. We’ll perform all necessary services and provide you with comprehensive documentation and check lists showing the performance of your unit. Or, FEECO can train your personnel on rotary equipment maintenance. We’ll show you what to do, how to do it and when to do it. Of course combinations of these two plans are available as well.

When our program is completed, your maintenance personnel will be comfortable with the operation and maintenance of your equipment. They will have the knowledge required to prevent unscheduled maintenance, diagnose any equipment malfunctions and prevent production down-time.

Pre-Sale Services
The best time to begin a preventive maintenance program is the day the decision is made to construct a new facility, or begin a new process in an existing facility. FEECO’s process and layout consultants can visit your proposed site and make recommendations on building and machinery placement. We also look into infrastructure sources such as electrical, fuel and water sources and other issues like foundation loadings and site conditions.
At this point, we can supply you with budget quotes on materials and installation costs.

Field Services
We’ve all heard the same old phrase, down-time is lost time, and lost income. The FEECO International Parts and Service Department wants you to look at problems caused by malfunctioning equipment and processes in a whole new way. The new way is to take the steps necessary to prevent down-time and process interruptions from happening altogether.

FEECO has a variety of service packages that can help you become pro-active in the prevention of serious loss of production and income due to equipment failure or material processing problems.

Laser Alignment

Because alignment problems are one of the most common causes of premature equipment failure, FEECO offers laser alignment services for a broad range of industrial applications. Our state-of-the-art laser alignment system can eliminate tracking and alignment problems and reduce the likelihood of further damage. Our alignment services include, but are not limited to:

  • Conveyor pulleys and frames
  • Rotary drum shell, tire, trunnion wheel, pinion and ring gear alignment
  • Power transmission alignment
  • Vertical and horizontal shaft alignment
  • Alignment of offset mounted machines

Once your equipment is properly aligned, the data can be printed out and stored on your computer system for future reference.

Tire and Trunnion Wheel Grinding Services
Maintenance and alignment problems begin when load bearing surfaces such as trunnion wheels, tires and thrust rollers begin to wear. We can refurbish these surfaces and eliminate problems like timing marks, taper wear and irregular face profiles. Special equipment is used to correct these problems, and in most cases, the job can be done with the unit in operation totally eliminating down-time.

Risk management is the key to avoiding costly down-time. Risk management is what allows you to stock the right parts that will help you get up and running following an equipment failure. FEECO’s experience with this type of machinery allows us to best predict which parts you’ll need to insure continued operations.

Our quick reference lists, plus our extensive engineering and manufacturing capabilities, allow us to provide quality single source replacement parts like trunnion wheels, drive shafts, thrust rollers, tires, gears, mixer paddles and pins, replacement shells and many other replacement parts to get your equipment back on-line in the shortest possible time. We keep an inventory of most wear-critical parts in stock, and if we don’t have it, we’ll find it, or build it. Most important of all, we provide 24/7 emergence service. One phone call sets our emergency response team in action.

We like to think of our recommended spare parts lists, customized for your equipment, as “insurance on the shelf” providing peace of mind against down-time.

The FEECO Service Department can offer you a range of services to get your machine or process up and running. We can fully install the equipment, inspect the final construction and begin producing product. We can also work with your contractor in an advisory capacity to assure a quick and efficient start-up.

FEECO can offer the following services during start-up and installation:

  • A one-source contact for mechanical and structural procedures which expedites scheduling and issue resolution.
  • Our familiarity with the customer, the equipment and the layout is surely a plus, cutting down-time in identifying and sorting parts, sequencing order of installation and heading off potential re-work.
  • Immediate engineering and manufacturing resources available from FEECO for emergency issues.
  • Freeing up your own management personnel for other important tasks during the installation period.

With over 55 years of experience in the bulk materials and processing business, we really know how this machinery works. And we know how our competitors’ machinery works as well. FEECO engineers and technicians can visit your site and teach you the best methods for installation and operation of rotary equipment. With our years of experience we can advise you on how your particular process or product affects the operation of the equipment and how to keep it operating efficiently. We offer customized training systems under the following general topics:

  • Maintenance training
  • Equipment operation training
  • Process training
